Selfcare app without perfectionism.
Using technology to promote female empowerment and giving young women a way to learn to stand up for and put themselves first.
UX & UI Design
Duktig flicka is the result of a school assignment. The mission was to promote female empowerment using technology. I wanted to bring light to a problem called "duktig flicka syndrom" or "good girl complex".
After reading sociological studies on the subject combined with conversations and user tests with women, I created a concept for an app that aims to help women put their needs first and track their mood in a healthy way.
Process
I conducted user research throughout the project to help identify what issues I should focus on and which features were worth developing.
Using a design system and atomic design helped keep a unified look throughout the app and minimised repeat work.
Concepts & Prototype
I created an MVP that was used to do user testing. That gave me insight as to what features of the app users had issues with and therefore needed to be reworked.
After iterating the product with the feedback from users I created the final result.
